Terms and conditions of boarding.

These Terms & Conditions may change, and the current version will be considered as agreed with each booking.

We appreciate that every cat owner needs to be confident that their pets will be well cared for in their absence and fully encourage prospective clients to visit our premises before making a booking. This provides an opportunity for the client to inspect the accommodation and familiarise themselves with our terms and conditions. It also gives us a chance to discuss any individual needs that may be requested.

You also have our assurance that your cat will receive plenty of care, love, and attention throughout their stay.

Booking Policy

All cattery bookings are subject to availability.

Charges are calculated daily, starting with the day of arrival and include the day of departure. Fees include food from our stock menu, heating, veterinary insurance and VAT at standard rate. Our minimum stay / charge throughout the year is 4 days.

Payment

Payment methods

We accept cash or direct Bank Transfer (Bank details will be provided once your booking is confirmed)

Please note: We do not accept cheques for payment.

Deposit

A non-returnable £30 deposit is required for each cat boarded at Christmas and/or New Year, and for new Customers.

Deposits Covid 19 update, Jan 2021
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus Health Emergency, should you need to cancel a booking due to Covid 19 restrictions, we can transfer the deposit to any future booking made before 31 December 2022. All deposits are non-refundable.

Cancellation Policy

We have decided NOT to adopt a cancellation policy. However, if during our very busy times when we are fully booked and not able to re-let your reserved rooms, We would like to think we could expect full payment to compensate us for loss of business.

Customers who cancel at short notice will be required to pay a deposit for further bookings

In the event of a cat being removed before the end of the period booked, we reserve the right to charge for the full period booked.

Arrival & Departure

At time of booking, we will request that you provide us with arrival and departure times. We would appreciate it if you could inform us in advance if these arrangements need to be changed. All arrival and departures are strictly by appointment only.

Cats must be transported to and from Evergreen Cattery in a suitable cat carrier which will remain at the cattery during the stay.

Customers are welcome to bring any toys / bedding or other items that they feel will make their stay more comfortable. We cannot accept bowls or litter trays.

Any items brought with your cat for their stay must be in good condition and thourougly cleaned prior to arrival. Item that are too large, or unclean will not be accepted.

All items left are at the Customers risk, we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to any items left by the customer.

Sharing

Your cats can share a chalet at Evergreen cattery, but the cats MUST be from the same household. There are no exceptions to this rule. If your cats are sharing, you give us permission to host them in the same chalet, and the permission to separate them should any issues arise.

Your cats health

Vaccinations

All cats accepted into Evergreen Cattery must show a valid up to date vaccination certificate against Feline Influenza and Feline Enteritis at each visit. We also recommend that cats are vaccinated against Feline Leukaemia Virus. Primary vaccination must not have been administered any less than ten days prior to boarding in order to protect our other residents from possible infection. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Please note that only vaccinated kittens can be accepted.

Fleas

We request that all cats that come to Evergreen Cattery are treated against flea infestation BEFORE arrival for their stay. All cats will be inspected on arrival. The management reserve the right to apply flea treatment to any resident cat found to have flea infestation on arrival or if the flea treatments are not up to date. The cost of treatment will be charged to the owner. Please note that flea collars are not considered adequate protection. Flea Treatment (Frontline charge £10 per dose)

Worms
We request that all cats that come to Evergreen Cattery are treated against worm infestation BEFORE arrival for their stay. The management reserve the right to apply worm treatment to any resident cat found to have worm infestation during their stay or if the worming treatments are not up to date. The cost of treatment will be charged to the owner. Worming Treatment (Drontal £10 charge per dose)

We are happy to administer any medication, including injections, which have been prescribed by a vet, provided full and clear instructions are left by the owner.

Illness/Vet

No cat suffering from, or suspected to be suffering from, an infectious or contagious disease will be accepted. All cats will be inspected on arrival, but we reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat showing any signs of ill health pending advice from our veterinary surgeon. This is essential in order to protect and safeguard the health of other resident cats. Veterinary services will be arranged should this be necessary during your cat’s stay. If any client prefers their cat to be seen by their usual vet, please discuss this with us prior to arrival. Any costs incurred for vetinary treatments will be charged, including travelling costs at £35 for the first Vet visit and £25 for subsequent visits.

Visitors

We respectfully request that all visitors to Evergreen Cattery refrain from stroking or petting any of the resident animals. This request is in place to protect our residents from potential external infection and to protect our visitors from injury.

Prospective new clients – visiting strictly by appointment only and no more than two visitors please.

Insurance

Evergreen Cattery is fully insured. Our current insurance broker is Cliverton Insurance which is underwritten by Aviva Insurance Ltd. Full details of cover are available on request.

Disclaimer

Whilst every care and precaution is taken to safeguard the health and wellbeing of all cats, they are boarded entirely at the owner’s own risk. If any animal is not collected within 7 days of the stated departure date and no communication received either from the owner or their agent, we reserve the right to contact an animal charity, for re homing purposes.
