A family-run hotel

There’s nothing commercial about Evergreen Cattery. We are a husband and wife team that turned our life-long love of animals into our dream job after a busy corporate career. Our feline-friendly hotel sits within our home, welcoming your pet into our family life for a safe and relaxing stay.

We offer a safe and secure environment where guests enjoy round the clock care, cuddles, and attention. Each fully heated room meets the highest welfare standards and we treat each guest as a member of our own family to ensure they enjoy a comfortable yet enriching holiday from home.

Nestled in nature

Nestled in the quiet village of North Cave, our chalets overlook a beautiful feline-friendly garden, designed to attract birds, bees, and butterflies. Guests can enjoy the garden from their sunny, indoor viewing deck and watch the world go by.

24 sunny chalets, each including a comfortable bedroom with fresh bedding and large play area

Play areas include large windows, scratching posts, balls, and toys for stimulating fun

Uninterrupted viewing deck to gaze out on our large green garden filled with wildlife

Completely private rooms, with no view of neighboring guests to encourage calm

All rooms are individually insulated and heated for the perfect temperature

Air conditioning units to keep everyone cool in the hotter summer days

Couples getaways - for up to 2 cats from the same household

Retirement retreats - offering low level access for cats who prefer not to climb

Hygiene and health

Hotel style service - offering regular cleans and litter tray changes

Each room is washed and disinfected between guests

Daily brushing and grooming (Guests willing!!)

Fully trained to administer medication as required

Our Terms

It is essential that all cats are fully vaccinated against Feline Enteritis and Cat Flu, and a valid vaccination record must be produced on arrival.

Flea and worming treatments should also be up to date.

Your cat will need to be in good health and we reserve the right to refuse entry to any cat showing signs of illness. Medication can be administered if specific instructions are supplied in writing. You will also be asked to supply an emergency contact telephone number.

To avoid potential problems when arriving for boarding, if you are unsure at all of your cats vaccinations please telephone us prior to boarding to check if your vaccinations are covered, as we cannot accept cats that are not fully vaccinated.

We are very happy to groom your cat so please bring his/her own brush and comb; also their own bedding may help them to settle in more quickly so feel free to bring it with you.

Upcoming Closures

We close the cattery sometimes to allow us to take our own holidays, and to perform maintenance that we can't when we have guests. The table below has the upcoming closure dates. All dates are inclusive.
